Curt's birthday was the day after mine. I remember many times our mothers would get together and bring in a huge sheet cake for the class.
I played with Curt in the Junior and Senior band. I played trumpet and he played clarinet. I heard that he was killed in a motorcyle accident in the late 1970s.
Curt lived just around the coner from my house. He had the coolest back yard. There was this large shed, more like a garage that was built to look like a ship with a lookout telescope and sail. We spent many summers together playing in his back yard. Curt was a good friend to have back in the old Churchill School days.
Curt was a good guy... We built & raced cars and motorcycles and we had a lot of fun & laughs together. Curt liked to go fast... right 'till the end.
