Hmmm, she must have moved to Main Street School soon after first grade...i remember playing with her in grade school, and particularly a little mischief in 6th grade...getting caught in the bathroom with a bunch of girls who were learning how to faint... Then there were the slumber parties...oh my - she always added the fun to those! I think she and Barb Kemp got up one night and made sandwiches at my house...we never did that and I worried that my mom might get mad.
The first girl that I had a crush on- back in 6th grade. I will never forget a moment in time we shared on the swings at Main Street School. I remember the schoolyard deserted, just her and I. The first time that I talked to a girl! Adelle seemed so full of life. I remember her as something of a Tomboy. I remember that she lived across the street from Main Street School on Hill Avenue. I remember also that she died way too young. Rest in peace, dear Adelle.

In first grade, at Churchill, Adelle had pink high top gym shoes. They were classy.
